You are invited to join the Gypsy Mamas in the making of fabric and
yarn balls for our installation and performance Creation: Mythic Weavings.
No special skills are necessary—just the desire to come and hang
out with us—making balls and enjoying good conversation! Bring
clothing or fabric that has meaning for you—like that old, sentimental
shirt that you’ve worn for years that has a hole in it, a favorite
blanket, a worn-out bathrobe, a sentimental piece of ribbon…make
it into a beautiful, zany or quirky ball and add it to the hundreds of
balls that make up this wonderful, tactile, and colorful installation.
Or just bring yourself! We have lots of materials for you to use. We
look forward to the honor of your presence.
